Growing up in Chanhassen, I graduated from Minnetonka High School.  I continued my education at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, obtaining a bachelors degree in Mathematics. Raised in a family working in public education, seeing the value of learning and having a desire to help others, teaching was a natural fit. My teaching career started at Minnetonka High School following my licensure program at the U of M. I continued to be closely tied to teaching and helping others with my time on the school board, many volunteer experiences and tutoring students in mathematics.

My husband, Matt, and I have been married for 23 years. We moved to Waconia largely because of Matt's experience in this amazing school system. He is a proud Waconia High School alumnus and we were thrilled to move back to this close-knit community to raise our three children.

Our daughter, Meg, graduated from WHS in 2021. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the U of M in 2023 with a minor in Biology. She currently works at ACR Homes and is applying to Medical School for the fall of 2025.

Jack graduated from WHS in 2024 and will also be a Gopher this fall. He is pursuing a double major in Math and Physics.

Our youngest, Thomas, is in 10th Grade at WHS. He is very active in the band program. His favorite subject?  Math - maybe not a shocker?

Our family is committed to improving the schools and community through service. In addition to my service on the school board, our entire family is very involved in local Scouts BSA Troops. Meg completed her Eagle Scout Project in 2020 - a gaga ball pit at Waconia Middle School. Jack completed his Eagle Scout Project in 2023 - an outdoor learning space & gazebo at Laketown Elementary School. Thomas is just beginning to explore his Eagle Scout project and is seeking ideas - if you have any, send them our way!

We currently reside near downtown Waconia where I enjoy walking, reading and spending time with my family - including our three dogs.
